
Temporary Staff Attorney
Background: Founded on the basic principle that every human being should be treated with dignity and respect at all times, Inner City Law Center has been serving the poorest and most vulnerable individuals and families in Los Angeles County since 1980. ICLC provides representation and social service advocacy to over 2,000 homeless and working poor clients each year. With thirty employees, including nine attorneys, ICLC is the only full-time provider of legal services headquartered on Skid Row and is widely recognized for its expertise in housing issues, government, and veterans’ benefits. Duties and Responsibilities: Attorney will work with the Legal Team, which handles large habitability law suits. Duties will include interviewing clients, completing discovery, drafting motions, legal research, and the like.
Qualifications: Ideal candidate will be bilingual English/Spanish. California Bar desirable, but not essential. Excellent research, writing, oral, and computer skills, and the ability to work well with ICLC clients required. Commitment to ICLC’s mission and values is required.
Compensation: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
